Muros Experiences

The seaside village of Muros is a designated Historic-Artistic Monumental Site for the historic nature of the homes in the village. Wander the Paseo de la Marina, a broad walkway on the shore, connecting the village of Serres to the south and extending north past the marina and village center.

Enjoy the local cuisine

Muros is packed with great restaurants, bars, bakeries and grocery stores. Many are located right on the main street, the AC-550, with a few bars and restaurants tucked into the old city streets. Wander and view the options, from pizza and burgers to traditional Galician seafood.

Take surfing lessons

Learn to surf on nearby beaches. Companies such as Abel Lago Watersports you can learn to surf, kite surf and paddle surf. Or simply kayak and paddle board in the tranquil, warm waters of the Muros Bay with equipment from the Casa de Muros or from the marina.

Walk the Camino do Virxe

Did you know that there's a full Camino that begins at the Marina in Muros, and continues to Santiago de Compostela? It's a fully approved Camino, called the Ría de Muros Noia with yellow arrow signage and a website with a map and helpful information. Walk a day, or walk all 11 stages to the Cathedral and earn a compostela.

Private Boat Tour

Charter a boat for your own private outing, go fishing for the day or enjoy all sorts of water sports with Ochivo, a local company that offers education about boating as well as a wide range of excursions.

Kayak the Ezaro

Just 30 minutes north of Muros is the Ezaro river and waterfall. Kayak Ezaro provides a guided experience to the base of the falls in double and single kayaks, for all ages.

Tour the historic city

Check out the guided city tours available through Vila de Auga e Sal. These tours, as well as the website, provide valuable insight into the contributions of the community of Muros throughout the past ages.
